ASSIGNMENT 1 PART 1

In this assignment, we are required to compare two English language reality TV by using the right method like 'One side at a time' or 'Point by point'. In my case, I have chosen 'the Survivor' season 7 and 'Amazing Race' season 5.

Aim and accomplishment:

The objectives of this assignment are intended for us to understand the concept of a television genre and to do a five (5) paragraph 600-1000 word compare and contrast essay of the chosen movie genre based on any two television series of the chosen genre. Besides that, it is also for us to cite references, according to APA citition method accurately and effectively. While the learning outcomes of this assignments are to demonstrate the ability to 'read' a television series for example, to understand and interpret the chosen television series genre and to demonstrate the ability to compare or contrast, analyse and synthesize information from two television series in an essay and explain them clearly and logically. Lastly, it is to communication the relevant ideas in a clear, logical and appropriate academic English.

Reflection:

Throughout this assignment, my interest towards watching English language television series is better because I found them more interesting where I can learn their grammar while watching it. Not to forget, I can able to differentiate and analyze if the television series is sending the same message or not.



ASSIGNMENT 1 PART 2

In pair, we will need to prepare a long contrast and compare essay about 800 to 1000 word of two different paintings exhibited in the galleries that we chosen. My partner and I chosen 'Bingkai Berangkai' which located at Bangsar.

Aim and accomplishment:

The objective of this assignment was intended for us to follow a structured method of critiquing an art work in order to discover its substance and meaning. While for the learning outcomes, it were to provide us to demonstrate the ability to understand and interpret a painting as well as to demonstrate the ability to compare and contrast, analyze and synthesis information about the chosen paintings in a longer essay and explain them clearly and logically. Lastly, it was also for us to communicate our ideas in a clear, logical and appropriate academic English.

Reflection:

This assignment gives me a chance to visit an art exhibition as this is my first time visiting it. Even though it is not as grand as i thought but what is more important that I can visit it with my course-mates and learn how to read paintings. I am so proud of our local artist. 

ASSIGNMENT 2

In a group of four person, we are required to write a research paper of a minimum of 

2500-3000 words. Our task is to study a traditional trade or business in Klang. We need to study at least two same type of business or trade.

Aims and accomplishment:

The objectives of this assignment are for us, student to attempt to answer the chosen question and use appropriate methodology in obtaining primary and secondary information related to the chosen question. Besides that, is is also for us to understand the basics steps involved in preparing an academic research report and apply APA style citation accurately and effectively in research report. Lastly, it was to present the findings of our research in a formal presentation and the understanding and application suitable strategies to a hypothetical target audience as specified to each. After complete this assignment, the learning outcomes were to achieve a well conducted research report with correct format and referencing techniques as well as correctly identify our own roles when speaking and deliver the information fluently and effectively to the targeted audience. More specifically, the research report will bring us to identify the key issues in the question and explain them clearly and logically as well as the ability to prepare questionnaires and interviews to obtain information about the topic. Besides that, it is to demonstrate the ability to analyze and synthesize information and compile them in the report and communication the relevant ideas and analysis in clear, logical and appropriate academic English as well as to select and present information clearly and appropriately to one's target audience. 

Reflection:

After completing this assignment, I learned a lot of different knowledge like how to measure a person body, about Klang history and how the tailors can survive so long. All these are valuable as we could not buy the experiences of the olden people.
